Govinda REACTS to divorce rumours with Sunita Ahuja; says, “I’m in the process of…”

This morning, the shocking news of actor Govinda and his wife of 37 years Sunita Ahuja heading for a divorce made the headlines. While the couple initially refrained from talking about their relationship, they’ve gotten candid about their bond during recent appearances on shows.

Govinda reacts to divorce rumours

As speculations concerning Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce continue to circulate, a source close to the family informed ETimes that the star wife had sent a separation notice a few months ago. However, there has been no movement since then. Reacting to the rumours about their divorce, Govinda told the same protal, “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films.”

The portal also quoted Govinda’s manager – Shashi Sinha saying, “There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by certain members from the family. There is nothing more to it and Govinda is in process of starting a film for which artists are visiting our office. We are trying to resolve it.”

Talking about Sunita serving papers to the actor, Shashi told IANS, “Right now, the news is being spread all over the place. So we are keeping an eye on it. Yes, she has sent a legal notice in the court. I am aware of that. But there is no concrete matter as to what it is. The legal notice hasn’t yet reached us”.

Govinda-Sunita relationship

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s love story blossomed in the 1980s after meeting each other through their families. The duo tied the knot on March 11, 1987 and kept their marriage a secret for four years. They are parents to daughter Narmada ‘Tina’ Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahunja. The couple also has a second daughter who was born premature and sadly passed away at three months of age.
